Overview
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. The qualification provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as individuals not currently in a teaching or training role. Individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training). Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.

Unit 01: Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships (3 credits)
Unit 02: Delivering education and training (6 credits)
Unit 03: Using resources for education and training (3 credits)
Unit 04: Assessing learners in education and training (6 credits)
Unit 05: Planning to meet the needs of learners in educaiton and training (3 credits)
Optional Units: 15 credits minimum
Unit 15: Internally assure the quality of assessment (credits 6)
Unit 17: Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment (6 credits)
Unit 18: Understanding the principles and practices of externally assuring the quality of assessment (6 credits)
Entry Requirements
Candidates must hold/meet one or more of the criteria on the list below:
• Certificate in management studies or business management.
• An equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution.
• Mature students with a minimum of two years relevant work experience may be considered.
• These qualifications are designed for learners from aged 19 and above.
• The provider will determine English Language ability if English is not your native language. IELTS 4.5 or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
Progressions
Learners completing this qualification can progress to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or depending on prior experience, even progress to higher level qualifications including bachelors in education degree or a PGCE with an university.
Certification
The Diploma is issued by the NCFE. UK Versity Online Limited (Number 8465520) is an accredited and approved delivery Centre for NCFE qualifications.
