Overview
The knowledge-only introduction to internal quality assurance (IQA) for people who need the theory without carrying out IQA in a role yet. You cover the principles and purpose of IQA, planning, monitoring and standardising assessment, sampling, making IQA decisions and managing information. It is the natural next step after a full assessor qualification.
Modules
All units are mandatory. You complete every unit to achieve the qualification:
• Principles, purpose and functions of internal quality assurance
• Planning internal quality assurance activity
• Standardisation and supporting assessors
• Sampling assessment across methods and learners
• Making and recording IQA decisions
• Managing quality assurance information
• Legal, ethical and good-practice requirements
Entry Requirements
• Aged 16 or over
• An assessor qualification or assessing experience is recommended
• Reasonable standard of English
• Internet access for online study
Progressions
On successful completion you can progress to:
• NCFE Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
• Internal quality assurer (IQA) roles
• Lead IQA or standardisation roles
• Quality and compliance roles in training

The certificate is issued by NCFE, the Awarding Organisation. UK Versity Online Limited (Number 8465520) is an accredited and approved delivery centre for NCFE qualifications.
