Overview
This qualification gives learners a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and the practical skills needed to be an effective one. You will explore what mentoring is, how to prepare for the mentor role, and how to apply the techniques mentors use day to day. It is a short, focused, Ofqual-regulated Level 2 qualification that adds a recognised mentoring credential to your CV in just two weeks.
Who is it suitable for?
You do not need to be working or in placement to take this qualification. It is designed for anyone aged 14 or over who wants to become a mentor in their workplace, education setting, community group, or voluntary organisation, or who is already mentoring informally and wants the recognition. No prior qualifications are required, though a Level 1 qualification can be helpful.
