Overview
The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Early Childhood Education develops learners' understanding of child development theories, focusing on developmental patterns and how context affects progress. Learners explore foundational and contemporary theories, sensory exploration, and how children learn through active engagement with their surroundings. The qualification covers creating supportive environments, adapting provision for individual needs, and topics such as emotional development, play-based learning, cognitive milestones, and working with families. Learners also gain insights into supporting children with additional needs. Successful completion enables progression to further study in Early Years professional settings.

Entry Requirements
Learners are likely to meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification
• GCE Advanced Level in 3 subjects or equivalent qualification
• Mature learners (over 21) with relevant management experience
• Centre will determine your English language proficiency if you are not from a majority English speaking country
