Overview
This qualification provides learners with a comprehensive introduction to supporting teaching and learning in school and college environments. Designed for individuals aspiring to work in education, it develops essential knowledge of child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and professional relationships. With a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 120 hours, 80 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), this course serves as an excellent foundation for further study and employment within the education sector.

Assessment
Learners are assessed through a portfolio of evidence, including written assignments and practical observations in a real work environment. All assessments are internally evaluated and externally quality assured by NCFE CACHE
Entry Requirements
• Must be 16 or over.
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (or equivalent international qualifications) accepted.
• Applicants without the required GCSEs can study Level 3 with UK Versity subject to meeting entry requirements.
• A suitable school placement is required to complete this qualification.
Progressions
Upon successful completion, learners can:
• Gain employment as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Worker.
• Progress to the NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Advance to higher education in education, childcare, or related fields.
• Pursue careers in pastoral support or educational administration.

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning is awarded by NCFE CACHE.
