Overview
The ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Computing (2025) is a postgraduate-level qualification (equivalent to a Master’s level pathway) designed for learners who want advanced technical and strategic skills in computing. It’s a 120-credit qualification that combines:

- Advanced technical computing skills
- Specialisation pathways based on career goals
The course is flexible and can be studied online, blended, or classroom-based. You don’t just learn coding or systems, you learn how computing drives organisations, projects, and decision-making at a senior level.

Entry Requirements
For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include:
- A first degree in Computing/IT or a relevant Level 6 qualification
- Other equivalent international qualifications
- English Language proficiency of IELTS equivalent of 6.5 or above.
- If you are not from an English Native speaking country, then UK Versity will determine the English language proficiency
Progressions
After completing the diploma, learners can progress to:
-Master’s degree (Top-Up / Final Stage) at UK or international universities
-Direct entry into the final stage of an MSc in Computing or related fields
- ATHE has progression agreements with multiple universities, and the qualification is widely accepted.
This qualification prepares learners for senior and specialist roles, such as:
IT Manager, Cyber Security Specialist, Data Analyst / Data Scientist,AI Engineer, Network Architect, Technology Consultant and IT Project Manager
