Mr Hodkinson has over 40 years experience in the Mechanical Engineering and Higher Education field. Working initially as a Turbine Specialist with GEC and recently retired from Wigan & Leigh College as a Workforce Tutor / Assessor / Internal Verifier, covering a wide range of subjects within the Mechanical Engineering field. Managed the Train to Gain contract and delivering Assessor/Verifier awards to partner colleges abroad. He is presently working for Greys College, first as Faculty Head and latterly as Principal. Possesses a HND in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, along with a C&G FE teaching certificate. He has gained many other educational awards over the last 20 years, teaching certificates for Key Skills and ESOL, in addition to D32,33, 34 and 36 Assessor/ Verifier awards, all updated to A1/V1, covering sections 9 and 11 of QCF. He has a Certificate in Management with ILM and qualified for the assessment of premises and equipment, for compliance with Health and Safety law. He has considerable number of years of experience of teaching, internal verification, managing standards and compliance where he previously worked in the Manchester City College and Wigan College.

As a Quality Manager for UK Versity, since 2014 he has been instrumental in driving the best practices and implementation them at the organisation. He is the lead IQA and also under his stewardship has been instrumental in training my colleagues on the assessor and IQA role.
